Abstract: On Friday afternoon, 12th of May, 2017, more than 200,000 computers across the globe were infected with a ransomware strain known as WannaCry. Since then, it has continued to spread across the world, infecting computers in over 150 countries. In this seminar, we examined the modes of operation of WannaCry Ransomware and ways of preventing the spread of the Virus.
