Software has bugs which lead to malfunction in a program. Unless they are not a consequence of programming errors, caused by design flows especially in large project as the kernel indeed is. Of course, not all bugs are security bugs, until someone figures out how to gain privileges from it. The methodology used for that purpose is called exploiting. This presentation focuses on defining and characterizing these exploiting techniques. This is the goal of the taxonomy in my presentation.
