Abstract: Augmented Reality is a trending topic nowadays. It provides user a semi-virtual environment by integrating virtual objects on real-world environment based on some arbitrary patterns. Motion sensor devices also recently made a lot of progress which captures users movements. Can augmented reality be utilized together with motion sensor technologies to achieve playing a virtual instrument? In our thesis research we aim to make user play a virtual instrument by capturing his/her movements via Microsoft Kinect and integrating a virtual instrument (especially drum) via AR in front of him/her.
