Abstract: iBeacon technology is Initially developed by Apple Inc. and later started to be used by other companies . Nowadays this technology is not only used by its initial purpose which is short range positioning but also other areas like security, closed-area guidance system , customer loyalty measurement and customer profiling. This presentation will inform about possible new usage areas with the new techniques developed. Furthermore advantages that makes it suitable for commercial and social projects and shortcomings will be discussed.
