Abstract: MuddyWater is threat actor that surfaced in 2017 with a campaign focused on government targets in Middle East. The attacks used new spear-phishing documents and relied on social engineering to trick users into enable malicious macros. The purpose of this presentation is to examine these attacks under different frameworks such as cyber kill chain and MITRE ATT&CK.
